Taisiia Stanishevska
I am a Ph.D. Candidate in the Department of Economics at the University of Illinois at Chicago. I specialize in Applied Microeconomics with an emphasis on Labor Economics, Economics of Immigration, and Demographic Economics.

In my job market paper, I study the impact of World War I military service on the long-term outcomes of immigrants. I find that foreign-born WWI veterans were more likely to become naturalized citizens and work in protective services, however, veterans earned less after the war compared to their non-veteran peers.

I am on the 2022-2023 job market and will be available for interviews at the ASSA 2023 meeting
